The Client Our client is an established and respected landscaping business delivering professional landscape maintenance services across commercial and residential projects in Perth.
With a strong focus on quality, safety and presentation, they are seeking an experienced Maintenance Tradesperson to take ownership of a portfolio of southern sites. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being out on site and takes pride in their work.
The Position
You'll remain hands-on with the work, helping to organise the day's activities on site and ensure work is completed safely and to the required standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out professional landscape maintenance across allocated commercial and residential sites
- Help coordinate daily tasks and ensure work is completed within the required timeframes and to a high standard
- Assess sites, identify issues and communicate additional requirements or improvement opportunities to the Maintenance Supervisor
- Liaise with clients on site where required and ensure a professional level of service is maintained
- Complete daily site reports, photographs, timesheets,
pre-starts and required HSE documentation
- Maintain and safely operate landscaping tools, machinery, vehicles and equipment
- Identify and report safety hazards, site issues, delays or additional resource requirements to your Supervisor
- Work across horticulture, turf management, irrigation and general hard and soft landscaping
The Criteria We're looking for someone who can confidently work independently on site.
You will ideally have
- Solid experience in commercial and/or residential landscape maintenance
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, turf management, irrigation and hard/soft landscaping
- The ability to assess site requirements and proactively identify issues or improvements
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A solid understanding of safe working practices
- A reliable, professional and proactive approach to your work
- The ability to follow direction from a Maintenance Supervisor while confidently managing the day-to-day requirements of your sites
Essential:
- First Aid qualification
- Construction White Card
- C Class Driver's License
- Current Pesticides License
- Current Working at Heights qualification
Desirable:
- MR Driver's License
- Cert III in Horticulture or similar
- EWP Ticket
