We are seeking an experienced family and carer peer support professional to provide daily guidance to staff and help coordinate safe, responsive and client-directed services through the Mental Health & Wellbeing Connect Centre. As a not-for-profit organisation, Better Health Network supports people and families at different stages of life and works with communities to strengthen health and wellbeing. About The Role

As the Lead, LLE (Carer Connect), you will work closely with the Team Leader to support frontline staff, coordinate day-to-day operations and respond to immediate service needs. You will help create a welcoming environment where carers and consumers feel safe, heard and supported, while contributing to quality, compliant and client-focused service delivery.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

- Providing daily support and guidance to staff during shifts to promote effective service delivery and positive client outcomes.
- Coordinating shift activities and immediate operational priorities in line with program plans and established guidance.
- Monitoring service delivery and supporting accurate, timely documentation and reporting.
- Facilitating a warm, welcoming and compassionate environment for carers and consumers.

Contributing to service design, quality improvement, practice reflection, supervision and professional development.

About You

You will bring strong family and carer peer support experience, a collaborative approach and the confidence to support staff in a dynamic, multidisciplinary service environment.

To Be Successful, You Will Bring

- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in family and carer peer support.
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to facilitate peer-led groups and education sessions.




- Ability to engage with stakeholders and discuss complex issues clearly and respectfully.
- Excellent communication, team engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work within relevant policies, practice frameworks and service standards.
- A collaborative and adaptable approach to new funding and service delivery models.

Desirable

- Personal lived experience as a carer for someone with mental health and/or substance use challenges.
