Health, Safety, Security and Workplace Lead

HSSE Lead - Bundey - Bundey, South Australia

n

IREN is seeking an experienced HSSE Lead to provide visible, practical and field-based health, safety, security and environmental leadership across our Bundey, project and operations. Reporting to the HSSE Manager - Australia, you will work closely with site leadership, contractors and workers to ensure risks are effectively managed, compliance obligations are met, and a strong safety culture is embedded across site activities.

About You

n

n
- Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS, or relevant tertiary qualification.
n
- 5+ years' HSE experience within construction, energy, utilities, data centres or similar high-risk environments.
n
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, contractor management and construction safety.
n
- Experience with inspections, investigations, risk assessments and permit-to-work systems.
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
- Current Driver's Licence and Construction White Card.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Provide daily HSSE support, coaching and guidance to site teams and contractors.
n
- Conduct inspections, audits, field observations and critical control verifications.
n
- Review SWMS, risk assessments, permits and task planning documentation.
n
- Support incident investigations, hazard reporting and corrective action management.
n
- Coordinate inductions, toolbox talks, emergency drills and consultation activities.
n
- Monitor contractor compliance, environmental controls, site security and housekeeping standards.
n
- Prepare HSSE reports and provide advice to site leadership on emerging risks and improvement opportunities
