We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Logistics Team Leader to lead our Logistics team and ensure the efficient movement of raw materials and finished products throughout our operation.

About the Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating daily logistics activities, supplying raw materials to production, managing stock control processes, and ensuring customer orders are dispatched in full and on time. You will also play a key role in leading a team, driving safety outcomes, and maintaining high operational standards across the department.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead, coach and mentor the Logistics team.
- Coordinate the supply of greasy wool to production to meet operational requirements.
- Manage inventory, stocktakes and cycle counts.
- Ensure customer orders are prepared and dispatched accurately and on time.
- Maintain logistics records, training documentation and operational reports.
- Oversee forklift and logistics equipment maintenance schedules.
- Drive a strong safety culture through toolbox meetings, training and hazard reporting.
- Work closely with Production, Sales and Trading teams to ensure operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity and team performance.

About You





You are an experienced people leader who enjoys developing teams and improving manufacturing performance.

You will bring

- Minimum 7 years' experience in Warehousing or Logistics leadership.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams.
- Robust organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing stock control and inventory systems.
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- A proactive, hands-on leadership style with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in textiles or wool processing is advantageous, but not essential.

Education / Qualifications

- Tertiary qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent experience in a logistics environment.
- Forklift Licence
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management
- PC skills (Excel, Outlook, Main Pac, etc.)
