About the role

This is a workshop-based role focused on preparing, maintaining and supporting specialised portable machining equipment supplied to clients across Australia. Working with industry-leading equipment, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive reliable, well-maintained machinery and the technical support they need to get the job done.

Key responsibilities

- Servicing, maintaining and repairing specialised portable machining equipment
- Testing and preparing equipment for hire
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and operational issues
- Preparing quotations and hire proposals
- Managing equipment bookings and scheduling
- Providing technical support to customers via phone and email
- Supporting internal Client Representatives with equipment selection and application advice
- Conducting pre-hire inspections and post-hire assessments
- Managing workshop inventory, consumables and tooling
- Ensuring all equipment and work practices comply with company safety and quality standards





About you

- Trade qualification as a Machinist, Fitter Machinist, Mechanical Fitter, or equivalent experience
- Experience with portable machining equipment, including mobile milling machines, flange facing machines, clamshell cutting and beveling machines
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience maintaining precision machining equipment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Positive written and verbal communication skills
- Competent computer skills
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Full Australian working rights
