- Expressions of Interest to join Sound NSW, a dedicated office committed to the growth, development and promotion of contemporary music in NSW

- Clerk Grade 9/10 with a salary range of $133,348 - $146,945 per annum plus superannuation

- Temporary 3-week opportunity (15 October 2026 to 6 November 2026) based in Sydney, NSW

About the role The Manager, Policy and Projects helps shape and deliver policies and projects that support the growth of contemporary music in NSW. The role provides evidence-based advice, manages projects from planning through to delivery and evaluation, and works closely with government, artists, venues, festivals and industry organisations to develop practical solutions and achieve positive outcomes for the sector.

The role works closely with the Senior Manager, Policy and Projects, to develop and deliver engagement and consultation processes to inform a range of policies, strategies and projects for Sound NSW and the NSW Government.

About you The successful candidate will be a confident policy and project professional who can turn complex information into clear advice and practical solutions. They will be comfortable managing several priorities, using evidence to make recommendations and taking responsibility for delivering quality work on time and within budget.

They will bring

- Knowledge in delivering arts and culture strategy

- Experience in developing,



drafting and executing government policy initiatives

- Skills in undertaking research, conducting complex feasibility studies and evaluating proposals

- Ability to collaborate with, and provide strategic advice to a broad range of government and industry stakeholders

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience

- Broad knowledge of the contemporary music industry ecosystem

- Previous experience with legislative reform would be beneficial
