About The Role Swinburne University of Technology is seeking an experienced Manager, Risk, Assurance and Resilience to lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of our enterprise risk management, business resilience and assurance programs. Reporting to the Director, Risk and Audit, you will work across the University to strengthen risk-informed decision-making, organisational preparedness, control effectiveness and build a positive risk and resilience culture. This influential leadership role will oversee the University's Enterprise Risk Management Framework, business resilience activities and annual assurance program. You will partner with senior leaders, provide strategic advice, and deliver meaningful insights that support effective governance, organisational resilience and informed decision-making across a complex and dynamic environment
About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Design, implement and maintain the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, policy, procedures and supporting guidance, including promoting and advancing key elements such as risk appetite, risk culture and risk maturity across the University
- Support the maintenance of the University’s risk profiles and registers, ensuring risk information is complete, accurate, current and appropriately governed.
- Develop, review and maintain the Business Resilience Framework, Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Plans and crisis management arrangements.
- Plan, deliver and evaluate resilience (business continuity and crisis) simulations, scenario exercises and desktop drills to test organisational readiness and identify improvement actions.
- Design and deliver a risk-based annual assurance (internal audit) program to assess the design and operating effectiveness of key internal controls
- Act as a key liaison for internal audit activity, coordinating information, evidence and stakeholder responses and tracking the implementation of agreed actions.
- Build trusted relationships across the University and provide authoritative advice, facilitation and mentorship to senior leaders, risk owners and business units.
- Lead,
develop and inspire team members to achieve individual and organisational objectives through effective performance management, coaching, mentoring and professional development.
