We’re excited to offer an opportunity to join our team as a Manufacturing Operator.Reporting to the Manufacturing Coordinator, this role is responsible for activities relating to the manufacture of narcotic raw material controlled substances. The primary objective is the manufacture and packing of Concentrated Poppy Straw (CPS).
Key responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment and control systems to ensure safe, efficient and reliable production.
- Contribute to achieving the weekly operational targets by working collaboratively across all shifts.
- Oversee production processes, responding to process variations and escalating issues where required.
- Communicating across shift lines to ensure appropriate handover of current activities.
- Follow manufacturing procedures, safety requirements and current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic operational checks to support process performance and product quality.
- Collect process samples and perform required production monitoring activities.
- Complete production documentation accurately and in accordance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring equipment and production areas remain clean and fit for purpose.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Manufacturing and the wider business to achieve production targets.

- Commitment to safety and the ability to follow procedures that minimise risk to people, product and the environment.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical, chemical, food processing or manufacturing environment.
- Solid focus on product quality, compliance and attention to detail.
- Experience operating manufacturing equipment, plant processes and/or automated control systems.
- Desire to be trained and become competent in several areas of the manufacturing facility, including process and equipment.
- Sound computer literacy and ability to accurately complete production records and documentation.
- Understanding of GMP requirements or experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to identify and report process, equipment or quality issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to work rotating shift work (Day/Night Roster).
- Forklift and/or Front-End Loader licence desirable but not essential.
