About the role

National Pies is looking for a creative and commercially minded Marketing & Content Executive to join our team. We have been crafting pies in Hobart since 1942, so we know a thing or two about pastry. Today, we are the national market leader in chilled savoury pastry, with the same commitment to quality that started it all.

This hands-on role turns products, people and campaign ideas into content that feels fresh, distinctive and unmistakably National Pies. From a freshly baked product shot to a social idea with a bit of bite, you will create across social media, short-form video, photography, copy, web and campaigns for grocery retail, including Woolworths and Coles, petrol and convenience (on-the-go), and foodservice.

Working closely with the Head of Marketing and broader team, you will be close to the bakery, our products and the people behind them. There will be plenty to sink your teeth into, from product launches and campaign moments to the everyday stories that bring our brand to life.

What you will be responsible for

- Planning and managing the social media and content calendar in line with campaign and brand priorities

- Creating product and lifestyle photography, video and short-form content that makes our pies look as good as they taste

- Writing and adapting copy for social media, website, email and other owned channels

- Publishing organic social content and managing our online community with timely, brand-appropriate responses

- Using social listening and performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements

- Supporting influencer, creator and paid social activity, working with agencies as required

- Preparing creative briefs, coordinating external production and maintaining an organised library of approved brand assets

- Developing content for point-of-sale, promotions and customer activations across grocery, petrol and convenience (on-the-go), and foodservice channels

About you

You are a hands-on marketer and natural content creator with a sharp creative eye.



You know how to make a rectangular pie look as good on screen as it tastes, and how to give an established brand a fresh twist without losing what people love about it. You are comfortable planning, filming, editing, writing, publishing and reporting.

To succeed in this role, you will ideally bring:

- Experience in a marketing, content, social media, digital marketing or similar role
- A solid creative eye and practical photography, videography and short-form video skills

- Confidence creating platform-native content for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok

- Strong copywriting and proofreading skills

- Experience with content tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva, along with social scheduling platforms
- An understanding of community management, paid social and performance reporting

- Strong organisation and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

- Good judgement when responding to consumer feedback or escalating potential brand and reputation issues
- A collaborative approach and genuine interest in food and consumer brands, with experience in food, FMCG or retail highly regarded
