More about the Marketing & Ecommerce Coordinator role at Medical Symbiosis

About Us

Medical Symbiosis is an Australian health company and a family business. One of the family is a practising doctor, a perioperative physician and anaesthetist, who created the products.

We've got three consumer brands.

Steady

Freddy covers men's sexual health in Australia and is expanding into the US. SuperFastDiet focuses on women's weight loss and intermittent fasting, with a robust community behind it. Nutraviva, our recently acquired collagen and supplements brand, has a website rebuild coming up.

All three brands are growing at once, which is a good problem and the reason for this role.

THE ROLE

This is the role for someone who wants to learn ecommerce marketing properly, from the inside, across three brands and two markets, with real budget and real customers attached.

You'll sit right next to our Head of Growth and keep the marketing engine running: the trade calendar that plans every promotion of the year, the creative pipeline that feeds our ads and our channels, the organic social that builds the brands, and the stores themselves.

It's a coordination role, so you'll be the person who makes sure things actually happen, on time, to the standard we set. But you won't be kept in a lane. You'll see how paid media, creative, email, site and merchandising fit together, and over time you'll start owning pieces of it.

THE WORK

Trade calendar and campaign coordination

- Own the day to day running of the trade and promotional calendar across our brands.
- Turn each planned promotion into a set of tasks with owners and dates, then chase them to done.
- Keep everyone working off the same plan, including creative, ops, customer service and our developers.
- Make sure offers, dates and assets are live and correct on site when they're supposed to be.
- Brief and coordinate every channel a promotion touches, including our email agency, so the campaign lands the same way everywhere.

Creative pipeline

- Run the creative pipeline end to end: briefs in, work allocated, deadlines held, assets delivered.
- Work day to day with our designers and editors, making sure every brief is clear and complete before it lands with them, and chasing revisions through to sign off.
- Keep the board honest, so at any moment we know what's in production, what's stuck and what's ready to go live.
- Quality check finished assets against the brief, the brand guidelines and the specs before they ship.

- Keep the asset library organised so nobody loses an hour hunting for a file.
- Handle the logistics of our paid creator work, including scheduling, briefing packs, product seeding, follow ups and invoices, supporting the team members who own those relationships.

Organic social

- Plan, schedule and publish across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook for our brands.
- Repurpose the content we already have into posts, reels and stories.
- Keep an eye on comments and community, and flag what people are actually saying back to the team.

Ecommerce execution

- Hands on in Shopify: product and collection updates, merchandising, pricing and discount codes, bundles, landing pages and banners.
- Build the promotion in the store and make sure it turns on and off exactly when it should.
- Support our conversion work by getting A/B tests set up and running, and helping read what they tell us.
- QA the site properly, including every link, every price and every device, before a customer finds the problem for us.
- Keep the storefronts tidy across three brands and two markets, which is more work than it sounds and matters more than it sounds.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We care far more about how you think and how you show up than about your CV. If you've got a year or two in marketing, ecommerce, agency or retail, great. If you're early in your career and you're curious, organised and genuinely hungry, that works just as well.

What Actually Matters

- You're curious. You want to know why the promotion worked, why that ad outperformed, why customers buy the big pack. You go and find out rather than waiting to be told.
- You're tech enabled and you love AI. You reach for a tool before you reach for a manual process. You're already using AI to do your work better, and you get excited about what it lets one person do.

- You're organised to a fault. Deadlines, checklists, follow ups. Nothing falls through the cracks on your watch.

- You're proactive. You'd rather flag a problem three days early than explain it a day late. You come with a suggested answer, not just the problem.
- You care about the detail. Typos, broken links, the wrong price on a tile. You catch them before customers do.

- You communicate clearly. Short, clear,

written communication with people across time zones.
- You want it. You're looking for the role where you'll learn the most in the next two years, not the one with the nicest title.

- Helpful, but we'll teach you: Shopify, Meta and TikTok, Canva or basic design, and project tools like ClickUp.

WHY THIS IS A GENUINELY GREAT JOB We'll be honest about what this is. It's a coordination role and there's real grunt in it. But it's also one of the best seats going for someone who wants to build a career in growth, and here's why.
- You learn the whole business, not one slice of it. Paid media, creative, email, site, merchandising, supply, customer experience. Most people your age spend two years on one channel at an agency. You'll touch all of it in your first six months.
- You work directly with our Head of Growth. Not three levels down, not through a coordinator above you. You'll see how the decisions actually get made and you'll be in the room for them.
- Three brands, two markets, completely different customers. Men's health, women's weight loss and a premium supplement brand, across Australia and the US. You'll learn what's universal in marketing and what's just category habit, which is a lesson most marketers take a decade to get.
- We build with AI, seriously. We're automating everything worth automating, and we want someone who'll push that further. The leverage you'll get here is genuinely unusual.
- Real responsibility, fast. Small team, no bureaucracy. Do the job well and you'll be owning a channel of your own, not waiting for a title cycle.

Our office is in a funky coworking space in Maroubra, Sydney, with great amenities and the beach nearby.
