Marketing Manager – Motorcycles & Motorsport

Thumpstar Motorcycles – Perth, WA

Location: Bayswater / Scarborough

We are looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager to manage marketing, media, influencers, motorsport and events for Thumpstar Motorcycles across Australia, New Zealand and international markets.

This is not a purely office-based marketing role. We are looking for someone who genuinely has a passion for motorcycles, dirt bikes and motorsport and is excited about building the Thumpstar brand through digital marketing, media exposure, riders, racing and events.

The role will involve working between Bayswater and Scarborough, so ideally you will live somewhere within or close to this area.

Key Responsibilities

Influencers & Social Media

- Find and contact suitable motorcycle and motorsport influencers
- Build relationships with riders, creators and industry personalities
- Organise bikes for reviews, testing and promotional content
- Coordinate content and influencer campaigns
- Help manage and grow our social media presence

Media & PR

- Build relationships with motorcycle magazines, websites and media
- Contact journalists and editors directly
- Prepare and distribute press releases and editorials
- Follow up with media to maximise editorial coverage
- Coordinate motorcycle reviews, launches and media opportunities

Digital Marketing

- Assist with and manage Google Ads and Meta/Facebook advertising
- Coordinate digital campaigns for new models, promotions and events
- Monitor campaign performance and help improve results
- Work with our graphic, website and content teams to produce marketing material

Race Teams & Riders

- Recruit and manage sponsored riders and race team relationships
- Coordinate race bikes, parts, graphics and rider requirements
- Keep track of company motorcycles allocated to riders and teams
- Help riders prepare for events and ensure bikes and equipment arrive where required
- Manage sponsorship and race-related marketing opportunities





Events & International Motorsport

- Coordinate riders, motorcycles, freight, entries, accommodation and media for national and international events
- Help organise Thumpstar participation in events such as MXGP, FIM Hard Enduro World Championship, FIM EnduroGP World Championship and Erzbergrodeo
- Coordinate Australian and Recent Zealand motocross championship activities
- Work with international distributors and dealers on overseas racing and promotional events
- Assist with future events such as the Red Bull Tennessee Knockout (TKO)

There may be opportunities for interstate and international travel as our race and marketing programs expand.

What We Are Looking For

- Previous marketing, PR, communications or brand management experience
- Strong communication skills and confidence contacting influencers, riders, journalists and businesses
- Experience with social media and digital marketing
- Some experience with Google Ads and Meta/Facebook Ads
- Ability to organise multiple projects, riders and events simultaneously
- Comfortable picking up the phone and actively chasing opportunities
- Genuine passion for motorcycles, dirt bikes and motorsport
- Able to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Ideally located between or close to Scarborough and Bayswater
- Current driver’s licence
- Ability to travel interstate and overseas when required

Previous experience within the motorcycle, automotive, motorsport or action-sports industry would be highly regarded.

This is a unique opportunity to work directly with Thumpstar Motorcycles and be involved in everything from digital advertising and influencers through to international racing and major motorcycle events.
