About the role

Platinum Tuning is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician / Performance Mechanic to join our growing team. Our workload covers everything from general mechanical repairs through to performance builds, engine swaps, turbo and supercharger installations, fuel systems, suspension, diagnostics, fabrication, wiring and supporting vehicles through to in-house dyno tuning.

Key responsibilities

- General mechanical servicing, repairs and diagnostics

- Performance and modified vehicle work

- Engine removal, installation and engine conversions

- Turbocharger and supercharger installations

- Fuel system upgrades and modifications

- Brake and suspension upgrades

- Timing belts, timing chains, clutches and driveline work

- Fault finding and diagnostics

- Working alongside fabrication, wiring and dyno tuning work

- Involvement in complete vehicle builds from start to finish

About you

- Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic/Automotive Technician preferred

- Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic ability

- Performance vehicle experience highly regarded

- Comfortable working on modified vehicles and non-standard applications





- Able to problem-solve rather than simply replace parts

- High standard of workmanship and attention to detail

- Able to work independently as well as part of a small team

- Genuine interest in performance vehicles and learning new skills

- Reliable, organised and takes pride in keeping work area and jobs tidy
