About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist/s to join the team at Salt Medical Services Pty Ltd in Conder, ACT. We are seeking full-time, part-time, or casual staff members who will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and efficient experience while managing essential administrative tasks for our daily operations.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting and welcoming patients in a warm, qualified and courteous manner
- Answering incoming phone calls and directing enquiries appropriately
- Managing patient appointments, scheduling and confirming bookings
- Processing patient registration and maintaining accurate medical records
- Handling accounts administration, including processing payments and invoicing
- Coordinating referrals and communications with other healthcare providers
- Managing correspondence, filing and general administrative tasks
- Assisting with clinic organisation and maintaining a clean, organised reception area
- Supporting the medical team with administrative requirements as needed

What we're looking for

- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar healthcare administrative role
- Proficient computer skills with experience in medical practice software systems or willingness to learn quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse patients and staff members
- Strong organisational and time management abilities




- Professional telephone manner and customer service excellence
- Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with medical records and patient information
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy and health information legislation
- A friendly, patient disposition with empathy for healthcare patients
- Reliability and punctuality
