Expressions of interest are invited from experienced mental health clinicians interested in flexible private practice work in South West Sydney.

This opportunity may suit a clinician looking to develop private practice work alongside an existing role, return to private practice, or establish a regular consulting day without needing to manage the administrative requirements of running their own practice.

The chance is expected to commence on a small and flexible basis, with scope to increase consulting days according to clinician availability and demand.

Who we're looking for

We are interested in hearing from:

- Registered Psychologists
- Mental Health Occupational Therapists
- Accredited Mental Health Social Workers

Applicants should hold current registration or accreditation relevant to their profession and be eligible to provide services under applicable Medicare mental health pathways.

The opportunity

Depending on your profession, experience and scope of practice, your work may include:
- Mental health assessment and intervention
- Evidence based therapeutic intervention
- Focussed Psychological Strategies where appropriately credentialled
- Supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD and other mental health presentations
- Treatment planning and clinical documentation
- Liaison with GPs and other treating professionals where required
- Face to face and telehealth appointments





Clinicians will retain appropriate professional autonomy over their clinical work, caseload and areas of practice.

The arrangement

This is intended to be a flexible contractor opportunity.

Initial availability of approximately 1–2 days per week would be welcomed, with the potential to increase over time.

Consulting space and practice infrastructure will be provided.

We are particularly interested in clinicians who value autonomy, thoughtful clinical practice and the flexibility to develop work around their own areas of professional interest.

About you

You will have

- Appropriate professional registration or accreditation
- Relevant mental health experience
- Eligibility for a Medicare provider number where required for your profession
- Appropriate professional indemnity insurance
- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
- Capacity to practise independently within your professional scope

Private practice experience is welcome but not essential.
