Role Description This Microsoft Engineer role at Trackita is a contract, on-site position based in Canberra.
The Microsoft
Engineer will manage, configure, and support Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint environments, ensuring availability, performance, and security. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing changes and upgrades across Microsoft platforms. The role includes developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts to automate administration tasks, streamline operations, and improve system reliability.
The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams,
document technical procedures, and provide clear communication to stakeholders regarding system status and incident resolution.
Qualifications
- Strong Microsoft Exchange skills, including configuration, maintenance, and issue resolution.
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint administration, configuration, and support.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, task optimization, and system management.
- Solid Information Technology foundation, including networking, security concepts, and server administration.
- Advanced Troubleshooting abilities for complex Microsoft environment issues and performance problems.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server) are advantageous.
- Experience working in enterprise or government environments, preferably in in office roles.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing project requirements.
