About the Company

HMMK Education and Visa Services provides professional education consultancy and visa-related support services to individuals, families and international students. We are seeking an experienced and ethical Registered Migration Agent or Australian legal practitioner to manage migration matters and deliver high-quality services to our clients.

Position Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for providing lawful immigration assistance, assessing client eligibility, preparing visa and review applications, advising clients about their options and managing matters from initial consultation through to finalisation.

The successful candidate will exercise independent professional judgment and remain personally responsible for complying with all applicable professional, ethical and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct initial consultations and assess clients’ immigration circumstances.
- Provide accurate advice regarding Australian visas, migration pathways and review options.
- Prepare, lodge and manage visa applications, sponsorships, nominations and related matters.
- Prepare submissions and responses to requests for further information, natural justice letters and other departmental correspondence.
- Manage Administrative Review Tribunal matters, including submissions, evidence preparation and hearing attendance where appropriate.
- Review supporting documents and identify evidentiary, eligibility or compliance concerns.
- Maintain accurate client files, records, deadlines and correspondence.
- Communicate professionally with clients, the Department of Home Affairs,



the Administrative Review Tribunal, education providers and other relevant organisations.
- Provide clients with regular updates regarding their matters.
- Ensure that all immigration assistance is provided in accordance with Australian law and applicable professional standards.
- Properly manage client confidentiality, conflicts of interest, disclosure obligations and informed consent.
- Assist with the development of compliant internal procedures, precedents and file-management practices.
- Work collaboratively with education consultants and administrative staff while retaining independent control over all legal and migration advice.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must satisfy one of the following requirements:

- Hold current registration as a Registered Migration Agent with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority; or
- Hold a current Australian practising certificate authorising the applicant to provide immigration legal services.

Applicants must also have:
- A strong understanding of Australian migration law, policy and visa procedures.
- Excellent written communication and submission-drafting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- High professional and ethical standards.
- Good client-management and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence using ImmiAccount, ART online services and electronic file-management systems.
- Professional indemnity insurance or eligibility to be covered under an appropriate policy, where required.
- Full working rights in Australia.

Experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded:

- Student visas and education-sector matters.
- Temporary Graduate visas.
- Employer-sponsored visas.
- Skilled migration.
- Partner and family visas.
- Visitor visas.
- Administrative Review Tribunal matters.
- Visa refusals, cancellations and complex immigration matters.
- Preparation of legal submissions and responses to departmental invitations.

Key Professional Responsibilities The successful candidate must maintain current registration or a valid practising certificate throughout their engagement. They will have independent responsibility for all immigration assistance and legal services provided under their name.

Only the appointed Registered Migration Agent or immigration solicitor may provide immigration advice or assistance where professional registration or legal authorisation is required. Other company personnel will provide administrative and education-related support only and must not direct or interfere with the appointed professional’s independent judgment.
