Multilingual Services Specialist

- Location: Parramatta (Hybrid)
- Employment type: Ongoing full-time, 35 hours per week
- Grade: 7/8
- Salary – $$116,981 to $129,42 pa plus employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role Join Multilingual NSW as a Multilingual Services Specialist and help shape high-quality multilingual services for diverse communities across NSW.

This is an opportunity to combine your expertise in multilingual services with language technology, quality assurance and service improvement.

You’ll provide specialist advice, help optimise our Translation Management System and multilingual workflows, strengthen quality standards and language assets, and use performance insights to continually improve the way multilingual services are delivered across government.

What you’ll do

As part of the Multilingual NSW Language Services team, you will provide specialist advice and support across translation, localisation, transcription, multilingual quality assurance and language technology.

You’ll assess complex multilingual service requirements, recommend appropriate delivery and quality approaches, and support the effective use and optimisation of our Translation Management System and associated workflows. You’ll also help maintain translation memories, terminology, style guides and quality standards, analyse service and quality data, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues, language practitioners and government clients to solve problems, build capability and support consistent, effective and high-quality multilingual service delivery.

What we’re looking for

- Demonstrated experience in multilingual service delivery, including translation, localisation, transcription and multilingual content management and/or language quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of multilingual quality practices, terminology management, language standards and culturally appropriate communication.
- Demonstrated experience supporting multilingual workflows with internal stakeholders, language practitioners and external clients in a high volume service environment.
- Ability to analyse information, identify issues and trends,



and contribute recommendations to support service quality and continuous improvement.
- Proven recent experience administering or supporting Translation Management Systems (TMS) and associated language technologies, including workflow configuration, language asset management, reporting and quality assurance settings.
- Proven experience using project management systems or similar workflow management platforms.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in translation, localisation, communications, linguistics, project management or related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience
