About us;

At On the move mechanical repairs we are a full-service automotive workshop in Preston, Victoria.

We offer general service booking, roadworthy inspections, we service electric and hybrid vehicles and logbook servicing.

We are searching for a full-time motor mechanic/ supervisor who will be a part of our team as we are expanding.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

Carry out various mechanical work such as vehicle servicing and repairs on modern vehicles.

Identify and report defects, advise on repairs required for compliance and complete certificates

Be able to use modern diagnostics to tackle complex problems using scan tools

Be able to replace timing belts

Carry out roadworthy inspections

Communicate with suppliers and supply parts (if needed)

Deliver high-quality customer service and ensured job completion standards.





Must be able to maintain detailed service record and ensure compliance with safety requirements

Be able to supervise and support workshop staff, allocating jobs and managing workflow,

Bring a can do, proactive attitude every day

Work in a team workplace.

Be willing to work overtime if available

Skills:

You must have at least 10 years of experience as a motor mechanic and be able to support staff and work with apprentices

You must be able to replace timing belts and timing chains

Be able to service transmissions

You must be able to work on all types of vehicle models including; truck repairs.

Must complete work to a high standard

Certificates and Licences (all but not limited to)

Must have certificate Cert III or equivalent from another country in automotive repair
