About MAACThe Multi Art and Culture Association (MAAC) is a student and community organisation dedicated to promoting multicultural exchange and participation in the arts. Our growing community currently connects more than 400 members.

Through creative workshops, cultural activities, exhibition visits, artist promotion, social events and community partnerships, we create inclusive opportunities for students, emerging artists and art enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds.

Our mission is to make art more accessible, inclusive and engaging while building meaningful connections between people and cultures.

Position OverviewMAAC is seeking enthusiastic, responsible and creative individuals to join our committee.

As a Committee Member, you will work alongside the President and other committee members to support MAAC’s daily operations, event planning, communications and long-term development. You will have opportunities to turn ideas into real projects, contribute to campus and community events, and develop practical experience in project management, marketing, teamwork and stakeholder engagement.

This is a volunteer position suitable for anyone who would like to gain practical experience, expand their network and make a positive contribution to a multicultural community.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in planning and delivering MAAC’s artistic, cultural and social activities, including workshops, exhibition visits, festivals and community projects
- Contribute ideas during planning discussions and assist with event preparation, in office coordination and post-event evaluation
- Support MAAC’s social media platforms by creating content, writing promotional copy and advertising upcoming activities
- Communicate with artists, student organisations, university departments, community groups and other partners
- Collect feedback from members and participants to help improve future events and experiences
- Assist with membership engagement, event registrations,



record keeping and general administrative tasks
- Attend committee meetings and communicate progress clearly with other team members
- Contribute according to your interests and strengths, such as marketing, graphic design, photography, videography, partnership development, finance or event operations
- Help maintain a respectful, welcoming and inclusive team environment

Qualifications
- A genuine interest in art, culture, multicultural engagement or community activities
- Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills
- A responsible and reliable approach to assigned tasks
- Willingness to learn, contribute ideas and solve problems
- Respect for people from different cultures, identities and perspectives
- Experience in event planning, social media, graphic design, photography, videography, copywriting, partnership development or administration is valued but not required
- Applicants from all academic and professional backgrounds are welcome
- Previous committee experience is not required—we welcome anyone who is ready to participate, learn and grow with the team
