Senior Power Platform Software Engineer (Developer) — Contract Opportunity

Nexosoft is seeking experienced Senior Power Platform Software Engineers for an ICT labour hire opportunity with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA). AMSA is a customer of Nexosoft, and Nexosoft is working to provide suitable candidates for AMSA’s consideration.

This is a senior-level contract role supporting AMSA’s myAMSA portal program, which delivers digital-first regulatory services and improves customer experience, business processes, data capability and service delivery across maritime regulation.

Role details

- Role: Senior Power Platform Software Engineer (Developer)
- Client: Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA)
- Engagement: ICT labour hire contract
- Initial duration: 12 months, with up to two 12-month extensions
- Location: ACT preferred; flexible hybrid office/work-from-home arrangements may be considered
- Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
- Security clearance: Candidates must currently hold or be able to obtain Baseline security clearance as required by the prospect
- Estimated start date: 5 October 2026

About the role The successful candidates will work within small IT project teams, collaborating closely with business stakeholders and multidisciplinary delivery teams. The role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on software engineering capability, and experience delivering quality solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform, Power Pages, Azure integration services and modern front-end technologies.

Candidates should be comfortable contributing to an in-flight portal program, writing optimised code, integrating front-end applications with backend services, supporting reusable development patterns,



and working within modern DevOps and CI/CD practices.

Selection criteria

Applicants must address the following essential and desirable criteria exactly as specified in the original opportunity.

Essential criteria

- Demonstrated experience developing solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse and the Power Platform, including Power Pages.
- Strong front-end development skills using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS, with experience in modern frameworks such as Vue.js.
- Strong full-stack development skills, including experience with C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON and SQL, and integrating front-end applications with backend services.
- Experience with Azure and Power Platform integration technologies, such as API Management, Azure Functions, Logic Apps and Power Automate.
- Experience working with established application architectures, development patterns and reusable components, including Azure DevOps, source control and CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with demonstrated experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary delivery teams.

Desirable criteria

- Experience with AI and intelligent automation technologies, such as Azure AI, Microsoft Copilot, AI Builder, generative AI or agent-based solutions.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications across Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure or AI will be highly regarded.
