We have an exciting full-time opportunity based at Hoxton Park FSC!
The Network Control Specialist is responsible for co-ordinating work requests, planning, and preparing switching plans to allow safe access to company’s electrical network. This is to enable the safe operation of Endeavour Energy’s Transmission, Distribution and Secondary Systems Networks providing planned access to the network and responding to urgent unplanned access requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare planned and unplanned isolations, switching instructions, work requests, switching plans and safety documentation to enable safe network access.
- Coordinate and manage requests from internal and external stakeholders seeking access to the electrical network.
- Provide specialist advice to ensure all activities comply with Electrical Safety Rules, network operating procedures and interruption policies.
- Liaise and negotiate with external authorities including Transgrid, Ausgrid, Essential Energy, Sydney Trains, RMS, Sydney Water and high voltage customers to arrange outages and access requirements.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, DNSPs, TNSPs, HV customers and other key stakeholders.
- Coordinate commissioning programs to minimise system disruption and maintain optimal network configuration.
- Respond to urgent and unplanned network access requirements while maintaining a strong focus on safety and operational excellence.
About You You are a collaborative and safety-focused electrical professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment. You bring strong technical knowledge, sound judgement and the ability to effectively coordinate multiple stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
Essential Qualifications And Experience
- Electrical Trade Certificate.
- Significant experience in a similar professional role within the energy or electrical industry.
- Sound knowledge of HV and LV network operations.
- Experience in network switching processes and safe access procedures.
- Strong communication, planning and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Authorised as a High Voltage (HV) Switcher DN3 or TS2/TS3.
- Demonstrated experience as a HV Switcher at an equivalent level to Endeavour Energy (DN3 or TS2/TS3).
- Experience working as a Network Operator in a Control Room workplace.
Licences and tickets
- Current Class C Driver Licence.
- WorkCover General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
