Green Light Australia are partnering with a leading company to engage Network Security Engineer to join a growing team responsible for delivering and supporting enterprise security and network transformation initiatives. This is a hands-on technical role focused on implementing, configuring, testing, and supporting network security technologies across large-scale customer environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in security deployments, SD-WAN implementations, network segmentation projects, incident triage activities, and operational support while working closely with customers, vendors, and internal engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Security Implementation &
- Delivery
- Support the deployment and implementation of enterprise security solutions across customer environments.
- Configure, test, and validate firewalls, network segmentation policies, VPN connectivity, and secure access controls.
- Assist with migration activities, cutovers, change implementations, and post-deployment support.
- Execute implementation plans and runbooks while ensuring successful delivery outcomes.
Network Security Engineering
- Configure and troubleshoot security technologies including:
- Palo Alto Networks Firewalls
- Fortinet Firewalls
- Cisco Security Solutions
- Secure Remote Access and VPN Technologies
- Implement network segmentation and access control policies.
- Support SD-WAN deployments, secure branch connectivity, and WAN optimization initiatives.
- Perform connectivity testing, policy validation, and security verification activities.
Security Monitoring &
- Incident Response
- Review and investigate security alerts using Splunk and other monitoring platforms.
- Conduct initial triage and analysis of security events.
- Escalate incidents to appropriate teams and support resolution activities.
- Collect and document evidence to support incident investigations.
- Assist with operational security monitoring and threat identification activities.
Troubleshooting &
- Operational Support
- Diagnose and resolve network security, firewall, VPN, SD-WAN, and connectivity issues.
- Identify implementation blockers and recommend remediation strategies.
- Support customer environments during project delivery and operational transitions.
- Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues efficiently.
Documentation &
- Governance
- Create and maintain technical documentation including:
- Low-Level Designs (LLDs)
- Migration Runbooks
- Test Plans and Validation Reports
- As-Built Documentation
- Operational Handover Documents
- Implementation Procedures
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned to customer requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with customers, project managers, architects, security teams, and vendors.
- Communicate technical issues, risks, and progress clearly to stakeholders.
- Participate in technical workshops, project meetings, and implementation reviews.
- Provide knowledge transfer and operational handovers following project completion.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting security technology implementations within enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Firewalls
- Network Segmentation
- SD-WAN Technologies
- Secure Connectivity Solutions
- VPN Technologies
- Working knowledge of Splunk for alert monitoring, investigation, and escalation.
- Experience supporting incident response activities including:
- Initial Triage
- Incident Escalation
- Evidence Collection
- Coordination and Communication
- Ability to troubleshoot security, networking, and connectivity issues.
- Strong documentation skills with experience producing technical implementation artifacts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
