Quality, Not Quotas
At Living Strength Care, we believe great OT practice is about the quality of outcomes, not simply the number of clients you see.
We want our clinicians to have the time and support to understand each person's goals, develop meaningful interventions and deliver practical outcomes.
Our aim is to build a sustainable clinical workplace where you can do your best work without feeling like productivity is the only measure of success.
Who We Are - Living Strength Care
Living Strength Care is led by Barbara Luka, an accomplished Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of industry experience and a deep passion for people and purpose.
Since 2007, Living Strength Care has grown into a highly respected allied health provider supporting people across Sydney and the Central Coast.
Barbara's vision is simple:
to build a practice that is clinically excellent and deeply human. We focus on quality, not quotas, and have built a team culture that empowers professionals to do their best work in a genuinely supportive environment.
We support a diverse community of people living with disability, aged care needs, psychosocial challenges and complex presentations, delivering services funded through Aged Care, NDIS, DVA and private arrangements.
When you join Living Strength Care, you're joining a team where clinical quality, professional growth and meaningful outcomes matter — and where you're supported to build a career you can be proud of.
What your work could look like
You’ll work with a varied caseload across the NDIS, Aged Care, DVA and private funding, supporting people with a range of disability, psychosocial and complex needs.
Depending on your experience and interests, your work may include:
✓ Functional assessments and capacity assessments
✓ Assistive technology and equipment prescription
✓ Home modifications and environmental assessments
✓ Functional capacity assessments
✓ Behavioural and psychosocial considerations
✓ Independence and capacity-building interventions
✓ Community-based rehabilitation
✓ Collaboration with support coordinators, families and other professionals
✓ Clinical documentation and reporting
You’ll have the opportunity to work across homes and community settings depending on your caseload and role.
Support that helps you succeed
You won't be expected to figure everything out on your own.
Our clinicians have access to internal mentoring, clinical support, and administration and systems assistance, allowing you to spend more of your time doing what you trained to do – providing quality clinical care.
For new graduates and early-career OTs,
we provide additional guidance and support as you develop your clinical confidence.
For experienced clinicians, we provide opportunities to share your expertise, mentor others and take on greater clinical responsibility.
Your career can grow with you
Your role doesn't have to stay the same throughout your career.
At Living Strength Care, we support clinicians who want to progress through pathways such as:
Graduate OT → Occupational Therapist → Senior OT → Clinical Leadership
You may also have opportunities to develop specialist interests, mentor junior clinicians or contribute to the growth of our clinical team.
What we’re looking for
We’re interested in hearing from OTs at different stages of their careers.
You’ll ideally have
✓ A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification
✓ Current AHPRA registration
✓ Eligibility to work in Australia
✓ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✓ A person-centred approach to clinical practice
✓ The ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
✓ A current Australian driver's licence and access to a vehicle
New graduates are welcome to apply.
We’re particularly interested in clinicians who are curious, compassionate, proactive and genuinely want to make a difference in people's everyday lives.
