We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed person to fill the role of Operations Coordinator
The Role The Operations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the effective delivery of Oxfam Australia’s organisational priorities and Operating Plan. Reporting to the Strategy and Operations Lead you will work across teams and functions, coordinating priority projects and initiatives, bringing together stakeholders, tracking actions and timelines, and ensuring work progresses through to completion.
The position also supports the coordination of key organisation-wide communications and forums, including All Staff meetings, CE updates, Executive Q&A; sessions and internal announcements, and develops clear and engaging materials such as presentations, briefings, FAQs and updates.
With a strong focus on collaboration, organisation and continuous improvement, the Operations Coordinator helps connect people and information across the organisation, responds to changing priorities and supports the timely delivery of high-quality organisational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the delivery of priority projects and initiatives arising from Oxfam Australia’s Operating Plan
- Coordinate key internal communication channels and forums
- Work across teams to coordinate activity and input on organisational priorities, ensuring information and actions are progressed effectively
- Prepare project and communication materials
- Monitor progress against agreed actions and priorities, identifying issues and supporting timely delivery of outcomes.

Desired Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination and/or operational support, including managing timelines, actions, deliverables and competing priorities.
- Strong planning, organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple pieces of work and follow through to completion.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions, building effective relationships with stakeholders at different levels of an organisation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing clear and engaging presentations, briefings, updates, FAQs and other internal communications.
- Robust attention to detail and problem-solving skills,
with the ability to identify issues, respond to changing priorities and find practical solutions.
- Confidence using Microsoft 365 and other digital collaboration tools, with the ability to quickly learn and effectively use new systems and platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work with initiative and a degree of autonomy, while knowing when to seek input, escalate issues or engage relevant stakeholders.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment where priorities and information may change.
A little about you (Key Selection Criteria)
- Project Coordination and Delivery
Demonstrated experience coordinating projects organisational initiatives, including managing timelines, actions and supporting stakeholders to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Internal Communications and Written Communication
Excellent written communication skills, with experience preparing and coordinating organisational communications, presentations, briefings and staff updates.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
Proven ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate across teams to coordinate activities and support shared organisational priorities.
- Organisation, Adaptability and Problem Solving
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing circumstances and take a practical, solutions-focused approach to delivering results.
