About The Role An excellent opportunity for an Operations Technician has become available. Based at our GLNG facility on Curtis Island, this position is responsible for performing operational and minor maintenance duties while maintaining the protected, efficient, and environmentally sound operation of the LNG Facility. You will play a critical role in ensuring daily production targets are met safely and reliably.

Key Accountabilities Include

- Operating Process and Utility areas safely within defined limits to meet daily production targets for volume, quality, and yield
- Responding safely to emergency situations and participating as part of the emergency response team
- Issuing work permits, performing gas testing, and ensuring compliance with the Santos Work Permit Procedure (SWPP)




- Preparing and isolating equipment for maintenance, and recommissioning following completion
- Performing minor maintenance within defined competence and recording all work within the site maintenance management system
- Enhancing equipment reliability through Operator Essential Care routines and fault diagnosis
- Identifying and reporting workplace hazards, incidents, and near misses, and participating in risk assessments and incident reviews
- Participating in shutdown and turnaround planning and execution
- Maintaining effective communications including structured shift handovers
- Providing cover for Process Supervisor, Panel Technician, Emergency Commander, On-Scene Commander, or Permit Coordinator when required

About You You will be experienced in:

- Certificate 3/4 in Process Plant Technology (PMA02 or 08)
- Emergency Commander or On-Scene Commander certification (PMAWHS511/PMAOMIR320/PMAOMIR346)
- Hydrocarbon facility operations
- Use and interpretation of isometric and Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs;)
- Safe work practices, permit management, and equipment isolation
- Emergency response participation and gas testing
- Microsoft Office and fundamental computer literacy
- A valid Driver's License




- The ability to obtain an MSIC Security Card (Federal police clearance required)
