You will run payroll for the site, making sure wages are paid correctly and on time under the relevant Enterprise Agreements, Awards and legislation. Workforce numbers increase significantly during major outages, so you will need to stay accurate as volumes ramp up and down.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing high-volume weekly pay runs accurately and on time
- Maintaining EA and Award data, and implementing changes from new or amended agreements
- Keeping employee master file records accurate and up to date
- Checking pay run variance reports and processing terminations
- Providing post-pay reporting to site, finance and other teams
- Resolving escalated payroll queries with supervisors, finance and HR
- Reviewing and improving payroll processes to reduce manual effort
About You
- 3+ years’ experience processing weekly pay runs in an industrial or construction setting
- Strong working knowledge of Enterprise Agreements and Modern Awards
- Experience with payroll tax and superannuation processing (desirable)
- High attention to detail, and able to meet fixed deadlines under pressure
- Clear, confident communicator with good customer service skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Qualifications in business, finance or accounting highly regarded
