About the Opportunity

Wilson Transformer Company is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Human Resources team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accurate, timely and compliant delivery of payroll services across the business while supporting the administration and continuous improvement of our payroll and HR systems.

Working closely with employees, leaders and key stakeholders, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, maintaining payroll and employee records, ensuring legislative compliance, and providing high-quality payroll support across the organisation. You will also contribute to workforce reporting and process improvement initiatives.

This is a full-time onsite position based at our Glen Waverley head office.

Key Responsibilities

- Process accurate and timely end-to-end weekly and monthly payroll.

- Validate payroll inputs including timesheets, allowances, deductions, leave transactions, adjustments and terminations.

- Reconcile payroll reports and investigate discrepancies.

- Process month-end payroll activities and payments.

- Support year-end payroll activities, including reconciliations and legislative reporting requirements.

- Maintain superannuation fund information and clearing house processes to ensure contributions are processed in accordance with legislative requirements.

- Manage workers' compensation payroll payments and adjustments.

- Process accurate payroll tax calculations and payments.

- Maintain accurate payroll and employee records, including commencements, transfers, promotions and terminations.

- Maintain and administer payroll and HR systems, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.

- Support payroll and HR continuous improvement initiatives, upgrades and testing.

- Prepare payroll, workforce and HR reports and analytics on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.





- Provide exceptional customer service and payroll support to employees and leaders across the business.

What We're Looking For

- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial, blue-collar or multi-site environment.

- Experience with ADP Payforce or a similar payroll platform.

- Experience administering payroll and HR systems.

- Sound knowledge of payroll legislation and award interpretation, preferably across Manufacturing and Clerical Awards.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.

- A proactive, customer-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement.

- Exposure to Elmo platform would be highly regarded.
