About Us
Beenleigh State High School has strong traditions in academic, cultural, sporting and agricultural activities, based around our motto of "Semper Altiora" and is recognised for its involvement in the local communities with students engaged in projects that both support and enhance the established community groups. Solid links have been built with many local organisations, including the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Lions and PCYC. Students are involved in both academic and vocational programs aimed at giving each student an opportunity to pursue their chosen career. In 2009 the school targeted literacy with a view to improving the ability of each child. Our school mission statement is, 'We Care. We Are Responsible. We Achieve.' This statement is integral to our school. About the Role
Responsibilities include, but not limited to: * Educational leadership: Lead the department in developing and implementing a shared vision focused on high-quality teaching, learning and outcomes for all students. * High expectations and professional growth: Establish high standards for student and staff performance while promoting continuous improvement, lifelong learning and professional development.



* Inclusive and socially just practice: Embed inclusive, equitable and socially just practices that support the wellbeing, participation and success of all students. * Collaboration and partnerships: Build solid, productive partnerships with students, parents, staff, government agencies and community organisations to enhance educational opportunities and outcomes. * Strategic and effective resource management: Provide future-focused strategic leadership while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies and effectively managing human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources to achieve departmental goals.
