We are seeking a motivated and experienced finance professional to join Business Services, Tourism Division. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys combining financial expertise, strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement to support business outcomes.As the Senior Business Services Officer - Finance, you will be a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing high-quality financial analysis, reporting and strategicadvice that supports informed decision-making and strong financial governance. Your work will directly contribute to the effective management of resources across business areas of finance, human resources, corporate governance, communications and internal audit functions.You will play a critical role in:- Budget planning, monitoring and forecasting activities to support sound financial management and business performance.- Analysing expenditure, revenue and cash flow trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing actionable insights to decision-makers.- Preparing high-quality financial reports and information to support strategic and operational priorities.- Building strong partnerships with managers and stakeholders across the division to deliver practical financial advice and solutions.- Providing expert guidance on procurement, financial processes, contractor engagement and labour hire arrangements in line with departmental and government requirements.- Coordinating responses to audits, stocktakes and governance activities, ensuring compliance and accountability.- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance financial processes,
reporting and service delivery.- Managing competing priorities while delivering accurate, timely and customer-focused outcomes.What you'll bring:We're looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. You will demonstrate:- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and financial management practices.- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.- Experience using financial and business systems such as SAP, Financial Reporter, Budget Builder and Microsoft Excel.- The ability to prepare complex reports, submissions and correspondence with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.- Proven success building productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic workplace.- A commitment to integrity, accountability and delivering high-quality client service.Why join us?This is more than a finance role.
