Job Description
A.B Motors operates an established automotive retail showroom in Brisbane, offering customers a range of quality vehicles and related services. We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee the showroom's day-to-day retail operations, lead the customer-facing team and support the continued growth of the business.

About the role
n
The Retail Manager will be responsible for the effective operation of the automotive showroom, including staff supervision, customer service, stock presentation, retail performance, budgets and compliance. This is a hands-on management position requiring strong leadership, commercial awareness and experience managing a retail environment.

Key duties and responsibilities
n
Plan, organise and manage the day-to-day operations of the automotive retail showroom.
n
Develop and implement retail strategies to achieve revenue, profitability and customer-service targets.
n
Monitor showroom performance, retail results, operating costs and relevant business performance indicators.
n
Manage the presentation, availability and movement of vehicle stock within the showroom.
n
Coordinate vehicle pricing, promotional displays and retail campaigns in consultation with senior management.
n
Maintain appropriate stock levels and liaise with suppliers, wholesalers and other business partners.
n
Recruit, train, roster,
supervise and support showroom and retail staff.
n
Allocate responsibilities, monitor employee performance and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
n
Establish customer-service standards and appropriately resolve customer concerns or complaints.
n
Ensure vehicles, promotional material and showroom facilities are presented professionally.

Qualifications and experience
n
A relevant Diploma-level or higher qualification in business, management, retail management or a related discipline; and/or substantial relevant employment experience.
n
At least two years of relevant experience in retail management or a closely related management position.
n
Demonstrated experience managing staff and day-to-day retail operations.
n
Strong knowledge of retail performance, stock control, budgeting and customer-service practices.
n
Robust leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
n
The ability to work independently and manage competing operational priorities.
n
Sound computer skills and experience using retail, inventory or customer-management systems.
n
