As a People Business Partner, you'll work with divisional and business unit leaders to shape and deliver people strategies that support business priorities and create meaningful outcomes for our people.

You'll draw on your broad HR expertise to advise and coach leaders across areas such as organisational design, talent, performance, reward, employee relations and organisational change. Using people insights and data, you'll identify opportunities, recommend practical interventions and help build leadership and organisational capability.

You'll join a collaborative People Partnering team that works dynamically across the organisation, providing a connected and consistent experience for leaders and team members. You'll also contribute to enterprise-wide people initiatives and support an inclusive culture where our people can perform at their best.

Following an internal career move within Australian Retirement Trust, this opportunity is now available for you to make an impact as part of our People Partnering team. This role is a 12-month max-term/ secondment opportunity and is based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.

Responsibilities

Day to day, you'll:

- Partner with divisional and business unit leadership teams to shape people strategies and embed them within business plans.
- Work with leaders to develop and deliver people plans that support strategic business objectives.
- Review people metrics and data to identify trends, provide insights and recommend targeted interventions.
- Coach leaders across performance management, talent management, organisational design, restructuring, remuneration and reward.




- Provide practical guidance on employee and industrial relations matters, escalating complex issues when required.
- Support leaders through organisational change and transformation with clear, considered advice.
- Plan and prioritise people initiatives and cyclical activities in line with business needs and ways of working.
- Build collaborative relationships with leaders, colleagues and relevant employee representatives.
- Provide informal leadership, coaching and capability support across the broader People and Culture function.
- Contribute to enterprise people initiatives, projects and cross-functional squads.
- Support a safe and healthy workplace by meeting your Work Health and Safety responsibilities.

Qualifications It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

- You have relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources, business or a related discipline.
- Your background includes significant generalist or specialist HR experience.
- You'll bring strong knowledge and practical application of HR practices, including organisational design, talent, performance, reward and employee or industrial relations.
- You're experienced in coaching and influencing stakeholders at all organisational levels.
- You have successfully supported leaders through organisational change and transformation.
- Your approach enables you to coach managers in people planning, performance management and employee relations.




- You'll be confident using people data and insights to develop interventions that support business outcomes.
- You're skilled in project delivery and change management.
- You have strong judgement and can navigate sensitive or complex people matters appropriately.
- Your experience in superannuation or financial services would be advantageous, but it isn't essential.
