Your new role
As the People & Culture Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, delivering practical and commercially focused HR advice and services to drive engagement and performance.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Business partnering and coaching all levels of the business and the leadership on a daily basis, building relationships and providing advice and counsel
- Employee relations, including case management and workplace investigations when needed
- Providing HR advice and support on Fairwork, employment legislation, modern award interpretation and PIPs
- Leadership coaching
- Employee engagement and wellbeing program delivery
- Supporting with WHS, RTW administration
- Delivery of diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Recruitment and onboarding activities as and when needed
- Talent management, succession planning and ensuring talent development plans are in place
- Partnering with the ELT in the delivery of people-related programs supporting change and transformation
What you'll need to succeed
- A minimum two years as an HR Business Partner within a small to medium-sized business
- Strong knowledge of employee relations with experience of managing workplace investigations and performance-related conversations
- Excellent employment legislation and HR policy knowledge
- Passion for recruitment and talent management as this will be part of the wider HR role
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
- Excellent coaching, influencing and communication skills
- Solid expertise in Fair Work legislation, employment law and HR best practice
- You must have experience of the delivery and execution of people projects and coaching a business through change and transformation.
- Knowledge of the construction or property sector would be beneficial but not essential
- Thrive working in a smaller team, and enjoy being at the coalface of the business
