About the Team

CHQ Pharmacy is dedicated to providing and supporting high quality clinical and medication management services to the children and young people of CHQ. The pharmacy service has a staff of approximately 110, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, administrative staff and support staff. The pharmacy team provides services to inpatients, outpatients, hospital in the home, cancer care services, poisons information, aseptic compounding, clinical trials along with safety, quality and governance.

The Queensland Poisons Information

Service is part of CHQ Pharmacy and provides 24 hour a day emergency service in cases of poisoning.

About the Role In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values.

Your contribution will include

Clinical Practice

Deliver quality clinical pharmacy services across a variety of caseloads in an acute hospital, rehabilitation or ambulatory setting in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.

As experience builds, apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making, under the clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of a more senior clinician.

Provision of high-level assistance to staff of other health professions.
