Looking for a flexible opportunity to build your hospital pharmacy experience while completing your Pharmacy degree? As a Pharmacy Student at Redcliffe Hospital, you will gain valuable hands-on experience across a range of clinical and operational pharmacy services while working alongside experienced pharmacists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
This role provides practical exposure to contemporary hospital pharmacy practice, supporting medicine dispensing, medication management and patient care activities under the supervision of Registered Pharmacists. You'll have the opportunity to develop your clinical knowledge, communication skills and professional confidence while contributing to safe, effective and patient-centred healthcare.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Support clinical pharmacy services under the supervision of Registered Pharmacists, including dispensing prescriptions, maintaining ward imprests and obtaining patient medication histories.
Apply and further develop your pharmacy knowledge through practical experience while progressing towards completion of a recognised undergraduate Pharmacy qualification.
Communicate effectively with patients, carers and healthcare professionals to support safe and patient-centred care.
Work collaboratively within the Pharmacy Department and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to assist in achieving positive patient outcomes.
Participate in quality improvement, research, training and administrative activities that support service excellence and career development.
