About The Role Join the Maintenance Team as a Plumber, responsible for providing plumbing services across six hospital locations. You will work closely with the Electrician, Carpenter and Handymen, with support from Maintenance Administration and the Management Team. The role involves completing all plumbing duties within a hospital setting, including preventative maintenance, monthly maintenance tasks and assisting other members of the Maintenance Team as required. You will report directly to the Health Service Manager.
You will be supported by the Maintenance Team, Administration and Management Team, with orientation to all sites provided by the Maintenance Team. All mandatory education is provided online to the successful applicant.
About You To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified and experienced plumber with knowledge and certificates in:
- Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs)
- Backflow Prevention
- Gas Fitting
- Boilers
- Roofing
- Air Conditioning
Requirements
- Apprenticeship and/or relevant trade certificate as a plumber, drainer and gas fitter or equivalent.
- Completion of additional studies and obtained status as a licensed plumber.
Additional Information
- To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable local candidate is identified for the position; in this instance, you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
