In this role, you'll:
The Project Manager, Renewables Operations Integration is responsible for coordinating Transport for NSW’s operational planning and delivery activities relating to the transportation of renewable energy infrastructure.
The role ensures alignment and collaboration across key internal stakeholders—including Freight, the Coordinator General, SICE, SPER, and the Regions—and with external government and industry partners. It oversees the operational integration of renewables transportation, managing risks, analysing data, and coordinating solutions that enable safe, efficient, and sustainable freight movements to support the NSW energy transition
More specifically you will
- Manage and coordinate the execution of renewables transportation operational strategies for priority renewable energy programs, ensuring alignment with Transport for NSW objectives and broader government priorities.
- Support coordination and delivery across all phases of the renewables transport program lifecycle, including scoping, feasibility, funding, planning, scheduling, stakeholder engagement, tracking, and evaluation.
- Coordinate advice, analysis, and technical input on operational matters related to the transport of renewable infrastructure,
working closely with internal experts and external stakeholders.
- Engage and collaborate with internal and external partners—including other government agencies, local councils, regulators, and industry—to ensure effective communication, alignment, and resolution of operational challenges.
- Identify, assess, and manage operational, safety, reputational, and financial risks associated with renewables transportation using Transport for NSW’s risk management framework.
- Monitor and analyse renewables vehicle movement data and operational trends to inform planning, reporting, and improvement initiatives.
- Prepare reports, briefings, and updates for senior management and key stakeholders to inform decision making and ensure transparency of progress and issues.

About You
You are an experienced project or program professional with a demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes in complex operational or infrastructure environments. You bring strong stakeholder engagement, analytical and risk management capabilities, and thrive when coordinating multiple priorities across diverse stakeholder groups. You are a collaborative leader who can influence decisions, solve problems and drive outcomes that support the energy transition.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience in managing complex operational or infrastructure programs, ideally in freight, logistics, or transport integration contexts.
- Sound understanding of renewables supply chains, infrastructure transportation, or heavy vehicle operations.
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate across multiple stakeholders to deliver outcomes in complex, multi-agency environments.
- Experience in risk management, stakeholder engagement, and project governance in operational or infrastructure delivery settings.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
