Human.Kind

Adelaide

About Us:

Human.Kind is a well-established, 10-year-old b-corp business focused on interconnection and care. Growing from Adelaide our CBD yoga and movement studio, we now have multiple sites and our remit extends well outside of yoga.

We offer physical and mental health therapy services, world-class teacher training, international retreats, short courses, community events and we support partner organisations with ongoing environmental advocacy and not-for-profit fundraising. With our Myponga project, we also have big plans; restoring 107 acres of land back to health, and building a world-class retreat centre.

About the Role

Human.Kind continues to grow and moves into new endeavours. With our growing livestream offering we are hoping to grow attention interstate and internationally. Meanwhile, our Myponga land revegetation and retreat centre project is at a tipping point of growth through the next few years, with the aim of creating a world-class retreat centre.

As this project grows alongside our other offerings, we need a PR and Comms manager to tell this story and get it the attention it deserves. This role will be essential to help shape our narrative, build our comms strategy and create continued opportunities for raising awareness and garnering media coverage to support these goals.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop, implement and manage Human.Kind’s communications and public relations strategy in line with the organisation's 2026 Theory of Change and current strategic objectives.

· Develop, implement and manage the communications and public relations strategy for the Myponga project, looking at what we need now and plans for our future retreat centre.

· Advise the founders and management on communications, public relations, media opportunities and external partnerships.

· Conduct research, develop audience personas and advise on communication approaches to ensure external communications are appropriately targeted and aligned with the organisation's values and objectives.

· Develop and maintain the organisation's overarching story, key messages and tone of voice in consultation with the founders and external agency partners.

· Plan and coordinate publicity and communications campaigns for key organisational initiatives, including community projects, environmental advocacy projects, events and fundraising activities.

· Develop and maintain relationships with press and media to identify publicity opportunities and strengthen Human.Kind Studios' public profile and the profile of the Myponga project.

· Lead and coordinate the production of external communications content, including written, photographic and video material, with a focus on journalistic style communications and interview-led storytelling.

· Brief and work with external agencies, freelancers, videographers and other creative providers, and review materials to ensure consistency with the organisation's communications strategy.

· Oversee public-facing digital and website communications to ensure consistency with the organisation's tone of voice and messaging.

· Provide communications guidance and support to administrative, operations and social media staff to ensure external communications are consistent with the broader PR and communications strategy.
