- Principal Project Officer (Workplace Officer Class 11) - Internal expression of interest
- Temporary until 24 December 2026
- Based in Parramatta, this role offers hybrid working arrangements. Candidates should be able to attend the office one day per week and travel to South West Sydney locations for field work when required.

- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $148,339 to $163,480 + super

If you’re looking to extend your experience leading a productive team of ecologists, would enjoy challenging koala conservation work, working with partners and stakeholders and supporting delivery of a large field program centred in SW Sydney, then we would love to hear from you.

About the role

Leading a small high achieving team, the PPO develops and supports implementation of programs and projects covering diverse biodiversity and threatened species conservation activities. The role prepares briefings and correspondence, responds to community inquiries, supports the wildlife rehabilitation sector to develop and maintain biosecurity standards and supports partners delivering habitat restoration programs. The role leads a field-based partnership project managing Chlamydial disease in koalas.

About You To be successful in this role you will need to:

- support staff delivering a range of SoS and BCT flora and fauna projects and a large field-based partnership project managing Chlamydial disease in koalas in southwest Sydney
- have strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- have well developed project coordination and budget management skills,



with strong organisational abilities to adaptively manage and deliver projects on time and within resources
- be an effective leader with a proven ability to manage staff to deliver results.
