PERSOL is partnering with a well-established Australian organisation to recruit an experienced Production Operations Leader to join its senior leadership team.

This is a key leadership position with responsibility for the overall performance of production operations, combining people leadership, operational strategy, production planning, performance improvement and commercial accountability. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will provide leadership across the production function and ensure operational capability is aligned with customer demand and broader business requirements.

This role would suit an operational leader who is comfortable taking ownership of performance, developing leaders underneath them, driving accountability and identifying opportunities to improve the way an operation performs.

The Role

You will take a high-level view across production while ensuring the management team remains accountable for the effective day-to-day running of their respective areas. The position has a strong focus on productivity, cost control, workforce capability, continuous improvement and longer-term operational planning.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

- Providing overall leadership and direction across production operations.

- Leading and developing operational leaders, setting clear expectations, priorities and performance standards.

- Overseeing production planning, scheduling, workforce capacity and resource requirements.

- Ensuring production output is aligned with customer demand and operational priorities.





- Identifying and addressing operational bottlenecks, capacity constraints and emerging risks.

- Establishing and monitoring operational KPIs and production performance.

- Driving improvements across productivity, labour utilisation, workflow and production efficiency.

- Maintaining oversight of labour costs, overtime, waste and downtime.

- Building a positive, accountable and performance-focused workplace culture.

- Leading continuous improvement initiatives and reviewing processes, systems and workflows.

- Identifying future workforce, equipment, infrastructure and production capacity requirements.

- Working collaboratively across inventory, warehousing, quality, safety and other operational functions to support effective end-to-end performance.

- Ensuring strong standards are maintained across WHS, quality, hygiene and food safety requirements.

About You

We are looking for a commercially minded operations leader with a solid track record of managing people, production and performance.

You Will Ideally Bring

- Significant senior operational and people leadership experience within a production, manufacturing or similarly complex operational environment.





- Strong experience leading managers and building accountability through multiple levels of an operation.

- Demonstrated ability to improve productivity, operational performance and workforce effectiveness.

- Strong production planning, resource management and problem-solving capability.

- Experience working with operational KPIs, labour costs, production efficiency and continuous improvement.

- The confidence to identify issues, challenge existing processes and implement practical improvements.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

- Exposure to food safety, HACCP, WHS or regulated production environments would be highly regarded.

- Qualifications in Operations Management, Business, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related discipline would also be advantageous.
