Rottnest Island Authority (RIA) is delivering an approved portfolio of ICT initiatives under the FY2026-27 ICT Tactical Roadmap. The portfolio supports business system modernisation, cyber security, network resilience, customer-facing digital services, privacy and information management obligations, and operational technology supporting critical island infrastructure.

The Project Manager - ICT is responsible for the planning, coordination, governance and delivery of a portfolio of ICT projects and initiatives. Reporting to the Chief ICT Officer, the role provides project leadership, governance, reporting and delivery assurance to drive the successful delivery of the ICT Tactical Roadmap and achievement of its intended outcomes.

Working within a small ICT function, the role coordinates delivery across business units, the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, Office of Information Management (OIM), vendors and other stakeholders.

The position ensures that projects are planned, governed and delivered in a structured manner, providing clear visibility of progress, risks, dependencies and outcomes to Executive and key governance forums.

Selection Criteria

1. Demonstrated experience delivering a portfolio of concurrent ICT or technology-related projects end-to-end, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands in a resource-constrained environment.
2. Demonstrated experience coordinating across internal stakeholders, external agencies, and vendors, achieving outcomes without direct authority in complex or multi-stakeholder environments.
3. Demonstrated ability to apply structured project governance and controls, including status reporting, RAID management, financial management, and maintaining a highly organised and disciplined delivery approach, including explicit and concise reporting to senior stakeholders.
4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a small collaborative team, contributing to shared outcomes and supporting team priorities as required.
5. Demonstrated ability to identify, assess and manage project risks, dependencies, issues and competing priorities across multiple concurrent initiatives.
