Project Officers – TSPV Cleared
Rate Guide: $120–$135 per hour
Babylon Data is seeking experienced Project Officers to support project delivery within a highly secure Australian Government setting.
These opportunities suit candidates with strong project coordination, governance, reporting, financial administration and stakeholder engagement experience.
Contract Details
- Location: Canberra, ACT
- Working arrangements: Onsite
- Estimated start date: 30 November 2026
- Initial contract: 12 months
- Extension options: Two further 12-month extensions
- Hours: Up to 40 hours per week—8 hours per day
- Experience level: APS5 equivalent
- Citizenship: Australian citizenship required
- Security clearance: Current TSPV clearance required at submission
Working arrangements will be determined by the assigned work area and operational requirements. Due to the secure nature of the environment, working from home may not be available.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparations for project testing, evaluation and acceptance activities.
- Apply established project management methodologies and tools to administrative and technical activities.
- Research, draft and prepare briefs, correspondence, reports and committee submissions.
- Maintain accurate project financial records under the limited supervision of the Project Manager.
- Support project control boards, assurance teams and quality review meetings.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting.
- Maintain project risks, issues, actions, changes, financial and configuration records.
- Track project activities against approved schedules.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and project communications.
- Create and maintain project documentation, procedures and supporting artefacts.
- Identify emerging risks and escalate activities that may exceed agreed tolerances.
Essential Experience
Applicants must demonstrate experience in:
- Supporting the use of established project management methods and tools.
- Configuring project methods and tools within an established environment.
- Creating and maintaining documentation relating to project processes and tools.
- Providing support services to projects, programs or portfolio offices.
- Supporting project control boards, assurance activities and quality reviews.
- Using project control solutions for planning, scheduling and tracking.
- Providing guidance on project management software, procedures, processes and techniques.
- Supporting risk, change, quality, finance or configuration management.
- Defining, documenting and delivering small projects or sub-projects.
- Developing realistic project plans covering scope, schedule, quality, risk and communications.
- Monitoring costs, timeframes, quality and resource usage.
- Managing project risks and taking action when agreed tolerances may be exceeded.
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must
- Be Australian citizens.
- Hold a current TSPV security clearance at the time of application and submission.
- Be available to work onsite in Canberra.
- Be willing and able to complete an Organisation Suitability Assessment before commencing.
Applications from candidates who do not currently hold TSPV clearance cannot be progressed.
