Northern Health are seeking applications from a motivated and suitably experienced project manager to play a pivotal role within the North Metro and Mitchell Local Health Service Network (LHSN).

Northern Health is a part of the North Metro & Mitchell Local Health Service Network. Our Network is made up of the following health services:

- Austin Health
- Mercy Health (Mercy Hospital for Women)
- Northern Health
- Seymour Health

The Network marks a significant step towards delivering better-connected, more accessible healthcare for our communities. By working together, we aim to provide care that is closer to home, easier to navigate, and tailored to the specific needs of our diverse populations. We welcome applications from candidates seeking either Full-Time or Part-Time employment.

For Part-Time applicants, we are able to offer 48 hours per fortnight and above, with working days and hours to be discussed and agreed upon based on business requirements and your availability.

The Role

This important position is responsible for providing high level project management skills across all portfolios within the LHSN; safety and quality, access, equity and flow,



workforce, shared services and partnerships. This role is largely focussed on project coordination with a strong emphasis on engagement and communication across a broad range of stakeholders from all four health services. This position requires flexibility and agility in the planning, directing and support of Network priorities and strategic initiatives.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Extensive experience as a project manager within a health service, including management of complex projects with high organisational impact
- Experience working across multiple competing priorities and the ability to be flexible and agile in approach
- High organisational skills with strong attention to detail, including being able to prioritise work, achieve set targets, meet deadlines and mitigate potential risks
- Excellent communication skills including well-developed writing and presentation skills, including proficiency with Office365 Suite
- Proven ability in engagement with diverse stakeholder groups and navigating complex organisational structures
- Demonstrated leadership and experience in complex stakeholder engagement and communication, including the ability to engage, negotiate and influence at all levels, both internally and externally
- Ability to build trust and credibility, and to develop and maintain constructive strategic working relationships in the face of ambiguity and competing priorities




- Proven working style which is flexible and collaborative
- Strong data and analytical skills in interpreting service and business needs, local conditions and achievability of results (e.g. measurement for improvement)
- Strong improvement mindset, with a drive to improve care to support positive patient outcomes and quality service delivery across the Network.
