Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Duration: 12 month contract

This opportunity is suited to a commercially astute qualified who can provide commercial oversight, cost control, quantity verification, and productivity assessment across major infrastructure and construction projects. The role is site-based and works closely with project teams, field engineers, project controls personnel, and contractor representatives to deliver evidence-based insights that support stronger project outcomes. This position is particularly relevant for candidates with experience in quantity measurement, contract administration, and large-scale oil & gas, energy, resources, or civil construction environments.
Required Experience:
- 5-10 years' experience in quantity surveying, construction cost control, project controls, or commercial project delivery.
- Experience within oil & gas, resources, energy, civil construction, or major infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with pipeline, utilities, linear infrastructure, or similar large-scale construction projects.
- Proven ability to support the assessment and validation of claims, variations, and other commercial impacts.
Required Skills:
- Strong capability in field-based quantity measurement and spot checks to verify installed quantities across construction activities.
- Strong proficiency in cost tracking, reporting systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Sound understanding of contract administration and commercial models, including unit rate, lump sum, and reimbursable contracts.
- Ability to review contractor daily construction reports and timesheets against observed site activities, workforce deployment, and equipment utilisation.
- Ability to identify and report productivity inhibitors such as permit delays, material shortages, restricted access, work-front readiness issues, and labour or equipment over-resourcing.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with project delivery teams, field engineers, project controls personnel, and contractor representatives.
