About Next Step Wellness

Next Step Wellness is an Australia-wide telehealth psychology practice. We provide psychological assessment and treatment by secure video to clients across Australia, working with Medicare-referred and private clients.

Our model is built so clinicians can focus on clinical work. Intake, scheduling, billing, Medicare claiming and referrer correspondence are handled by our administration team.

The role

Psychologist contractor positions are available now. General or Clinical registration.

100% remote — work from anywhere in Australia, on the hours that suit you.

You'll deliver individual therapy and assessment by video, working across the full range of presentations, children through adults.

What we handle for you

- Client intake and matching — our team takes the referral, contacts the client and books them in
- Reception and client communication
- Medicare claiming, invoicing and payments
- Practice management software with secure video, clinical notes and letter templates
- GP and referrer correspondence, with templates provided
- Full onboarding and systems training

Hours and caseload

You set your own availability and can change it at any time — days, evenings or weekends.



Whatever hours you make available, we fill.

We generate our own client referrals and have clients ready to be booked, so you won't be building a caseload from scratch.

What you'll need

- Full AHPRA registration as a psychologist (General or Clinical)
- Medicare provider number, or eligibility to obtain one
- Australian Business Number — this is a contractor arrangement
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance
- Current Working With Children Check, or willing to obtain one
- A private, quiet space and reliable internet
- Living permanently in Australia
