Your new company An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join a Defence-focused team supporting purchasing activities across a major Defence program. This role will see you working in a fast-paced workplace, coordinating purchasing requirements, engaging with stakeholders and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in purchasing, supply chain, logistics or contract support who have worked within Defence or a government environment and are confident using SAP.
Your new role
- Manage purchasing activities in accordance with Defence and organisational requirements.
- Raise and process purchase orders using SAP.
- Monitor and track procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers to coordinate purchasing requirements.
- Support reporting,
governance, and compliance activities.
- Resolve purchasing and supplier-related issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure procurement activities are completed in line with relevant policies and procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, logistics or contract administration.
- Previous experience working within the Defence sector or a government environment.
- Strong SAP experience, particularly in purchasing and procurement functions
- An active NV1 Clearance
