We are currently seeking experienced and motivated people to join our workshop team in the following role:
- Purchasing Officer/Storeperson
Key Responsibilities
- Sound understanding of Parts & Accessories within the Truck & Trailer Industry
- Process purchase orders/communicate with suppliers to ensure materials & equipment are delivered on time
- Collate Build parts for Jobs
- Obtain and compare supplier quotations
- Monitor stock levels and reorder items to prevent shortages
- Receive, inspect and record incoming deliveries
- Coordinate the storage of materials in the correct warehouse locations
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist with stock-takes
- Maintain company tool, equipment and asset registers
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve delivery delays, discrepancies and quality concerns
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve purchasing efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company procurement, warehouse and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse
- Provide general purchasing, stores and administrative support as required over a number of company departments
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement of parts
- Strong knowledge of vehicle/truck (heavy duty) parts
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- MYOB experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with management, supervisors and external suppliers
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
