Data centres across Brisbane may be attracting plenty of electricians right now. Large projects can pay well, but construction phases eventually finish, and the work can quickly become repetitive.

At Essence Electrical Pty Ltd, we’re offering something different: a permanent, long-term position where you can earn a great hourly rate, work a four-day week and expand your experience across electrical, solar battery storage and air conditioning.

You don’t need to arrive knowing every part of the industry. You may have only recently qualified, be ready to move beyond repetitive project work, or be tired of an employer who doesn’t recognise what you bring to the team.

What matters most is that you take pride in your work, communicate well and have the right attitude.

This isn’t a role where every day looks the same





We start at the warehouse of a morning to get prepped for the day. From there, you will have the responsibility of completing your daily jobs with an apprentice alongside you. You’ll work across a combination of residential and light commercial projects, including:
- General electrical installations, upgrades and fault-finding
- Switchboard upgrades and electrical safety improvements
- Solar PV and battery installations (if interested to learn)
- Split-system and ducted air-conditioning installations (if interested to learn)
- Working with apprentices and supporting their development

If you already have solar, battery or air-conditioning experience, we’d also love to hear from you.

What we need from you

- Queensland electrical licence

- Current driver’s licence
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Skilled communication with customers and the team
- Pride in the quality of your work
- Willingness to learn and try different areas of the industry

Solar accreditation, battery experience, air-conditioning qualifications or experience leading apprentices would be valuable, but they are not essential.
