Our client, a well-established Australian manufacturer of engineered mechanical equipment and attachments, is looking for a Quality Control Officer to join their team in Gold Coast, QLD.

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with proven experience in product inspection, strong knowledge of regulatory standards, and a data-driven approach to root-cause problem-solving. This role supports the management and compliance of ISO 9001 standards across the business and helps drive continuous improvement throughout operations.

Responsibilities

- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance with quality standards and regulations
- Conduct inspections and audits of production processes, materials, components, and finished products to identify quality issues, defects, or non-conformances
- Support the Quality team in maintaining certification to ISO 9001
- Provide ongoing oversight of quality awareness and control within Production
- Support the Quality team and other personnel in investigating production-related quality issues, both internal and external
- Document and report quality findings, deviations,



and corrective actions; maintain accurate records, logs, and inspection reports for traceability and accountability
- Undertake regular quality audits on the integrity and implementation of production activities, including equipment used and product preservation, in line with company procedures
- Assist the Quality team in ensuring inspection, measuring, and test equipment is suitably calibrated or verified
- Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business

Key Requirements

- Experience with ISO 9001 required
- Experience in internal auditing, quality, or a related field essential
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within a manufacturing workplace
- Good understanding of quality control procedures and relevant production standards
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to managing business requirements
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Good working knowledge of manufacturing principles
- Background in machinery design, fabrication, or engineered equipment manufacturing
- Exposure to the automotive or mining equipment industries
