The Chance

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Control Officer to join our expanding team in our brand-new facility based in the Brisbane Markets precinct.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Quality Control Officer will be responsible for taking ownership of the product quality standards that we supply to customers. This begins at point of entry (receivals) through to the product being dispatched to customers. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Inspect all produce upon arrival, date, label and provide product pick list if applicable
- Record arrivals through both the buyer’s collation and entering stock into Fresh computer system; enter reasoning codes into fresh for any shortfalls once set up
- Liaise and communicate with the buyers and warehouse team on the status of quality and receivals
- Co-ordinate the receivals of cross docking items
- Analyse daily quality credit claim report and take appropriate action if any of the affected stock remains on hand
- Monitor the product quality in warehouse daily
- Monitor warehouse stock rotation by date and color condition on all products
- Monitor quality through the break-up area and split cartons with the packing, assessing quality of any carry over stock
- Monitor order assembly and dispatch area to ascertain if any product quality is being compromised through poor pallet stacking
- Assist buyers and accounts on any supplier discrepancies on received quantities
- Any other duties as required

The ideal candidate The ideal candidate will be a team player with a positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to work with others, who can demonstrate the following attributes and experience:

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable experience in a similar field
- Highly motivated and target driven
- Eye for quality fresh produce
- Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to work independently and efficiently
- Must be computer literate
- Fruit & Veg industry and product knowledge
- Certificate III in Warehousing, qualifications in HACCP or food safety courses are desirable

Working closely with farmers, suppliers, chefs, business owners and hospitality account managers, we deliver a paddock to plate wholesale fruit and veg solution that meets the ever-evolving demands of the hospitality industry.





Fruitlink is also a B2B wholesale company who distributes to a customer base made up of independent supermarkets and retailers such as IGA and Foodworks. Fruitlink offer fresh fruit and vegetables and a gourmet food range (think cheese, olives, pre-made salads and other perishable foods.) Due to the nature of our industry, shifts are rostered does include Sunday, with the shift start time varying between 12:00am-3:00am. Candidates who have experience with fresh produce and can demonstrate alignment to our Just Cause, Mission and Values will be highly regarded.
