RC Grade Control & Blast Hole Drillers

$165,000 – $220,000 per year | Roster dependent

Martyn Mining Services is expanding its drilling operations and is seeking experienced RC Grade Control and Blast Hole Drillers to join our growing team.

We are looking for capable operators who take ownership of their equipment, maintain strong production standards and understand that safe, consistent drilling is what keeps a project moving.

Multiple roster arrangements may be available. Remuneration will depend on the roster, experience, demonstrated competency and the equipment operated.

The Role

Depending on your experience, responsibilities may include:

- Operating RC grade control and/or production blast hole drill rigs.

- Consistently achieving safe and realistic production targets.

- Completing accurate pre-starts, inspections and shift documentation.

- Identifying defects early and communicating maintenance requirements.

- Carrying out routine operator maintenance and drill housekeeping.

- Monitoring hole depth, angle, location and overall drilling quality.

- Working effectively with geology, blast crews, supervisors and maintenance teams.

- Maintaining clean, organised and well-presented equipment.

- Supporting trainee drillers and less-experienced operators where required.

- Contributing to a professional, accountable and productive site culture.

What We Are Looking For

You will ideally have

- Demonstrated experience operating RC grade control or blast hole drill rigs.

- Experience on Sandvik, Epiroc, Leopard, Pantera, D65 or similar equipment.

- A strong understanding of drilling practices and equipment care.

- The ability to meet production expectations without compromising safety or quality.

- Mechanical awareness and the ability to identify developing equipment issues.

- A current Australian driver’s licence.

- Relevant drilling competencies and site qualifications.

- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.

- A reliable employment history and strong references.

Experience across both RC grade control and blast hole drilling will be highly regarded.

What We Offer

- Annual remuneration of $165,000 to $220,000, dependent on roster, experience and demonstrated capability.

- Multiple roster options.

- Contemporary equipment and a growing drill fleet.

- Clear expectations and direct communication.

- Genuine opportunities to progress into senior driller, trainer or leadership positions.

- Stable work with an expanding Australian-owned mining services business.

- A workplace where strong performers are recognised and given opportunities.

Our Expectations

We are not looking for people who simply occupy a drill seat.

We want drillers who

- Look after their rig.

- Produce consistently.

- Communicate problems early.

- Take pride in their work.

- Support the people around them.

- Turn up ready to contribute.

- Leave the equipment and operation better than they found it.

If you are an experienced driller looking for competitive remuneration, dependable work and the opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding mining services company, we want to hear from you.

Apply through SEEK with your current résumé, relevant competencies and details of the rigs you have operated.
